SFEMS Baroque Workshop
Workshop Faculty Concert, “Water – Music’s Elixir,” featuring Rita Lilly (soprano), Aaron Sheehan (tenor), Bruce Dickey (cornetto), Linda Pearse (bass sackbut), Maximilien Brisson (sackbut), Clea Galhano (recorder), Anna Marsh (bassoon), Sand Dalton (oboe), Sandra Miller (traverso), David Wilson (Baroque violin), William Skeen (cello), Nigel North (theorbo), and Peter Sykes (organ & harpsichord). The program offers a whirlwind tour of music by composers from John Dowland and Giovanni Gabrieli to George Frederic Handel and Georg Philipp Telemann. The internationally-renowned faculty assure this one-of-a-kind concert is not to be missed!

SFEMS Music Discovery Workshop & Youth Collegium
Final concert and theater production. Workshop-wide singing, Vocal Collegium, Instrumental Collegium, younger children’s ensembles, period dances, followed by a theater production, showing off their creations from the arts & crafts class. All on the theme of the Wolfie and Nannerl’s Grand Tour of Europe. New to MDW&YC this year, we will also have a presentation Introduction to Viols class during the concert. Everybody at the workshop will have an Introduction to Viols class in the afternoon with Farley Pearce and David Sego. We are very grateful to Cindi Olwell with the Viola da Gamba Society, Pacifica Chapter for making this happen by loaning us their instruments from their rental program. Viola da Gamba Society Pacifica Chapter and VdGS America are working together to underwrite a portion of the new Introduction to Viols program. You are all invited to join us!
