Les Violettes
grgich sqFestival Napa Valley (formerly known as “Festival del Sole”) presents Les Violettes (Corey Carleton, soprano; David Wilson, violin, Colin Shipman, viola da gamba; and Violet Grgich, harpsichord) performing baroque musical gems by G.F. Handel, Henry Purcell, and Heinrich Biber. The concert begins and ends with two fabulous pieces by Dieterich Buxtehude, whom Bach, as a young man, went to great lengths to hear. As part of Festival del Sole, you may purchase tickets to only the concert, but if you would like to attend the lunch following the concert you will need to purchase an all-day pass. Our last performance at Festival del Sole was oversold several times, so we are limiting the number of attendees to make the event more enjoyable for everyone.
