“Draw on, Sweet Night,” the San Francisco Recorder Society’s annual concert. Named for the beautiful 6-part madrigal by John Wilbye, our concert will be both uplifting and peaceful. Please join members and friends of the San Francisco Recorder Society for music and camaraderie as we welcome Fall … and the end of the election. Light refreshments will follow the concert in the parish hall. We hope you will attend, and will share this invitation with friends and family who would enjoy an afternoon of relaxing recorder music. “Standards from the Baroque and Beyond” Les Violettes (Corey Carleton, soprano; Colin Shipman, viol; Violet Grgich, harpsichord) return to California Jazz Academy with a focus on songwriting in the baroque period. Over the last 500 years song topics and structures haven’t changed much, and yet still continue to engage audiences on a personal level.
