Saint john’s Episcopal Church presents a program of music from composers/musicians at the Venetian Ospedali, including Maddalena Lombardini, featuring
Artists-in-residence Shelby Yamin (violin) and Caitlyn Koester (harpsichord).

Berkeley Baroque Strings: On the Double!
Berkeley Baroque Strings welcomes in the new season with a concert featuring double concertos by Antonio Vivaldi, Georg Philipp Telemann, and Johann Sebastian Bach, along with the singular Triple Violin Concerto in D Major by Bach.

Berkeley Baroque Strings: On the Double!

AGO: Eugene Petrushansky Organ Recital
Eugene Petrushansky plays a short recital of (mostly) 17th-century organ repertoire on the Jürgen Ahrend organ, including works by Sweelinck, Scheidt, Frescobaldi, and Correa de Arauxo, as well as anonymous chorale settings from the Lüneburger Orgeltabulatur and d’Anglebert’s rarely-heard Fugues graves pour l’orgue. Hosted in conjunction with the San Francisco chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Cantata Collective
Cantata Collective’s second concert of the season features O Ewigkeit, du Donnerwort (BWV 60) and
Ich hab in Gottes Herz und Sinn (BWV 92), with soloists Michele Kennedy (soprano), Kimberly Leeds (alto), Kyle Stegall (tenor), and Edward Vogel (baritone).

William Cayanan, Arthur Omura, and Heeguen Song: A Baroque Celebration of Local Artists
Calliope: East Bay Music and Arts presents a celebration of hyper-local artists: Arthur Omura on harpsichord, William Cayanan on cello, and Heeguen Song on violin. Each of the three artists will perform a solo set, in addition to collaborating on several pieces including works by Rameau, Bach, Gabrieli and Vitali.

Berkeley Bach Cantata Group
The Berkeley Bach Cantata Group invites singers who love J.S. Bach to join the BBCG chorus and orchestra and Director Derek Tam in exploring the beloved Magnificat in D Major of 1733, along with some of the Christmas laudes (hymns) that Bach interpolated into the less-performed 1723 version.
