Fairest Isle

San Francisco Recorder Society’s “Tune in to the Recorder XI”

Scotland squarePlease join us for this day of beautiful music Saturday, February 21 in the heart of San Francisco’s Sunset District. Directors Louise Carslake and Hanneke van Proosdij will present music to charm and inspire you from that gorgeous, rugged island just west of the European continent. The San Francisco Recorder Society Workshop prides itself in being particularly open to those who may never have attended a music workshop in the past with sessions organized for players of differing skill levels, from low-intermediate to advanced. If you have friends who play but have been hesitant to attend a workshop for fear of not being “ready” please encourage them to join you at this event. There will be lots of friendly players who will gladly sit next to the newcomers and guide them through the music and the day.

Early registration is encouraged. The fee is $45 which includes all the music. Refreshments will be provided, but bring your own lunch as there are no convenient restaurants in the immediate area. There is a kitchen available for refrigeration and warming of your food. The workshop takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Christ Church Lutheran, 1090 Quintara Street (at 20th Ave.), San Francisco. Street parking and limited garage parking is available, and the church is also accessible by public transit. All areas of the church are wheelchair accessible.

You can download registration form here or visit www.arssanfrancisco.org For more information, please contact Florence Kress at 415-731-9709, or [email protected]; or Greta Hryciw at [email protected].
