Norman Larson (1938–2018)

Norman Larson, who passed away on February 20, has been a friend to the Bay Area’s early music community for 4 decades. An enthusiastic concertgoer and generous supporter of the arts and historical heritage, especially in his native San Francisco, he was beloved and will be missed by many friends in the Bay Area. SFEMS dedicates this weekend’s concerts, by Les Délices, to his memory.

We are grateful for Norm’s deep love of music, humbled by his generosity, and inspired by his enthusiasm for life, his intellectual curiosity, his warmth and good cheer. To read more about Norm’s fascinating life and contributions, see the obituary in Sunday’s San Francisco Chronicle.
