SFEMS Seeks New Board Members

Every year, The San Francisco Early Music Society seeks new members for its Board of Directors. As we continue to emerge from the pandemic, we are seeking board members who are willing to contribute their time, talent, and treasure to maintain and build SFEMS’s position as a leader in the field of historically informed performance.

The ideal board member is not only passionate about early music, but will also be in a position to increase their present level of support, both through monetary contributions and through the exercise of valuable skills, including but not limited to:

  • Financial acumen
  • Fundraising
  • Event planning
  • Proficiency in technology
  • Coordinating volunteers
  • Graphic design
  • Legal expertise
  • Photography
  • Video skills

If you are interested in playing a role in SFEMS’s future as a potential member of the Board of Directors, or if you would like to nominate a candidate for board membership, please contact board president Joyce Johnson Hamilton at [email protected]. The Governance Committee will interview and evaluate candidates in the summer, and vetted candidates will be presented for a vote to the SFEMS membership at the Society’s Annual Meeting in September.
