We are delighted to welcome Heidi L. Waterman to the SFEMS staff as our new communications manager!
A mezzo-soprano, Heidi has enjoyed a wide-ranging career encompassing everything from film scores to early Renaissance chant to cutting-edge modern oratorio; for the past fifteen years, however, she has specialized in choral and early music. She has been a soloist with San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Opera, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and Chorale, the San Francisco Choral Society, and San Francisco Bach Choir, among many others.
Several years ago, she began to combine her love for music and her passion for writing into a new career as a copywriter, creating artists’ bios for their websites and programs as well as writing marketing materials for businesses and arts organizations. She is thrilled to be joining SFEMS as communications manager, seeing it as a chance to give back to the community that has given her so many amazing opportunities.
