We are delighted to welcome Sarah Coykendall to the SFEMS staff as our new Operations Assistant!
A film and theater artist with more than thirty years’ experience, she is the current Producing Stage Director of The Bracebridge Dinner at Yosemite for Andrea Fulton Productions and Co-Artistic Director of Splathouse Productions (formerly PD and the Bug), a collective of film, theater, music, and visual artists dedicated to preserving the spirit of the b-movie on screen and stage. She has also worked in and on a number of film and video productions throughout the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Her first feature film, Medias Res, was released in 2017 to rave reviews; in addition to starring in the film, she served as producer and assistant director.
Sarah’s current creative projects include Splathouse’s Blue Caveman (a film in post-production), Splathouse: Slumber Party Sleepover (a monthly YouTube show), 12 Unholy Knights (film in pre-production), and frontwoman for The Creepy Crawlies, a Bay Area punk band.
As Operations Assistant, Sarah will be helping with all aspects of the Berkeley Festival & Exhibition, including managing the Fringe. We couldn’t be more excited to have her with us, and hope you will join us in giving her a warm welcome to the SFEMS team!
