“Mozart and Friends” Join West Edge Opera for an evening of music by Mozart, Salieri, Süssmayr, and rarely-heard works of Mozart contemporary Vincente Martin y Soler, as popular in his day as was Mozart himself. The program also includes music by Maria Theresia von Paradis, a blind singer, pianist and composer whose works also are rarely performed. Plus, fortepianist Robert Mollicone will play Beethoven’s Eight Variations on “Tandeln und Scherzen” after the terzetto from Süssmayr’s opera Soliman II.
